Our First RI Snow

Despite the weather reports for the last few weeks- we have not had a drop (or should I say flake) of snow in Rhode Island this winter UNTIL today! Today we had our first snow, it was a light snow, but it was snow just the same. The boys had a huge snowball fight and built the beginnings of a snow fort- though they will need a lot more snow to complete it. Anyway, it was a joyous day for the boys! And I just had a share a few pictures.

This is a picture of Ross just moments after the first flakes started falling. He was not outside thirty second before he had formed this snowball and posed for this picture!

This is a picture of Spencer mid-snowball fight. He really wanted me to get the snowball in the picture but my fingers were too cold and I could not take the picture fast enough. Suffice it say he threw a really fantastic snowball just moments before I took this and it undoubtedly hit something equally fantastic in his mind!

This is my favorite picture of all.
Of course, I love Ross' giant snowball but more than that I love his rosy cheeks and genuine smile.
As you probably know, I am not a huge fan of the snow but I wonder, when I look at this picture, how could I not be happy it is snowing when it brings such delight to someone I love?
