Okay, so I feel like giving up on this whole Refined Free thing because it is just so hard. Some body please tell me it is worth it! Actually, I know it is, I am just having a hard time applying it to my life. I know Refined Free is a better way for me to live. I know that when I eat right and exercise- I have more energy during the day and I rest better at night. I know these things and I really do want to master them. Any thoughts on how? Any words of advice? Your positive feed back on this one would be great!

Refined Free Me- Day Two
I don't think day two counts, I was too sick to eat. My total daily consumption was
7 triscuits
1 apple
1 slice of bread
I drank some crystal light because I needed hydration but couldn't keep water down. So, I guess I am 1 for 2 this week- but I am going to keeping trying!

Me and Sugar
There seems to be a huge trend right now to stop eating sugar and I have spent the better part of the last few weeks trying to decide how I feel about it. Though I have long been concerned about sugar consumption and though I changed my diet limiting refined sugar and starches a few months ago I hadn't really made up my mind to give it up all together. After considerable thought however, here is what I have finally decided about me and sugar.
1. Sugar gives me headaches.
2. Sugar makes me tired.
3. Sugar is addictive.
4. Sugar makes it harder for me to concentrate.
5. Sugar is a catalyst for eating fatty foods.
Having made these discoveries (and others) I have decided to eliminate all refined sugar (and a few other refined things) from my diet. For me this means:
- no white or brown sugar
- no sugar substitutes
- no white flour
- no white rice
- limited amounts of honey, whole fruit juice and jam for baking.
