Robert just called from work and asked me
if I wanted to go to Paris with him next weekend... Yeah!!
It is going to be a very quick trip but I am excited just the same! We arrive on Friday afternoon and leave again Sunday afternoon and we are not really sure what to do with our time. If you had 48 hours in Paris what would you do? Keep in mind we have both been there before and have experienced some of the highlights (the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Nortre Dame, the Sacred Heart Cathedral) though I am not opposed to seeing any of those things again! Your thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreacited. Also, I need a good book to read on the plane- what have you been reading lately that you love? Thanks everyone!

What? How exciting! if I ere going back to Paris I would love to go back to Montmartre (Le Sacra Coeur), Serg & Patricia's Bistro, and Le Musee d'Orsay. The museum is right across the street from the Louvre and houses most of the impressionist painters' work. And maybe a Mass at Notre Dome would cap it off nicely. Also I would love love love to go to the Palace of Versailles but am not sure how far it is??? If you do go there please pick up one of those books like we got all over Italy...that never made it home with us, OK?
How fun! One of the perks of all of this, no?
I am reading a book by Sophia Kinsella (Confessions of a Shopaholic, etc.) It is pure fluff and called Remember Me? To me it would be perfect for a flight as I can never really concentrate on a book while flying anyway.

So I just read the first book in the series Far World. It's I believe a children's book. But I loved it! It's called Water Keep. There's going to be a total of 5 books, each new one will come out every Sept. How do I know this you might ask? Well on my Goodreads the author actually commented on my comments. It was pretty cool if I do say so. Anyways I think you might like it. Your boys would too. :) See ya & Have Fun!!!

Hey Laura, I finally found your blog, after searching for FOREVER on your mom's blog. I was thinking about you today because I used your Rawlins pic on my blog today. Have a fabulous time in Paris.

Roma it is! I just finished Omnivores Dilemma, which was great - except for that you'll never want to eat at a restaurant again, and you'll start seriously thinking about raising everything you put in your mouth yourself... And Atlas Shrugged, which was fantastic, except the few parts that weren't and the fact that it's so long you would have to fly to and from Paris 12 times. Stay in touch!
